Squirrels
The Eastern Gray Squirrel is a highly adaptable tree squirrel known for sharp vision, strong depth perception, and an excellent sense of smell that helps it relocate buried nuts months later. Its sensitive hearing and wide field of view make it very alert to predators.
The Red Squirrel is smaller, territorial, and extremely vocal. It relies heavily on keen hearing to detect intruders, a strong sense of smell to manage food caches, and sensitive whiskers to navigate tight tree spaces.
The Indian Giant Squirrel is a large, colorful forest squirrel with excellent vision and depth perception for high-canopy movement. It depends on strong balance for long leaps between trees and sharp hearing to detect aerial predators.
